Job Description:

Reed are currently working alongside a fantastic primary school in St.Neots (Cambridge) who are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time role will commence in September and involves working within a Year 5 class. The successful candidate will support the class teacher throughout the school day, assisting with the daily management of the class and pupils. Additionally, the role may include some 1:1 work with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
  • Support pupils' learning and development, both individually and in groups.
  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN as required.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Experience working with primary school children, particularly in Year 5.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and experience in providing 1:1 support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the class teacher and other staff members.
