Vision for Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a popular and friendly Primary School in the March area, working with a variety of Year groups both generally and on a one-to-one basis.

About the role

You will be working with a motivated staff team where the children are at the heart of all they do. You will be working alongside excellent teaching practitioners, supporting students and assisting class teachers. This is a fulfilling and rewarding role where you can make a real difference to children's learning! 

You will mostly be working with children with special educational needs, some of whom may have behavioural difficulties and so we need people with a nurturing and supportive approach. Experience of working within schools who use the trauma informed or therapeutic approach would be beneficial.

Requirements

To be considered for the role as a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Have experience of working in a school or similar setting in the last 3 years (6 months minimum)
  • Have experience of working with children with additional needs
  • Be available to work full time (school hours 8.30am to 15.30pm)
  • Ideally be able to drive and have access to a car (not essential)
  • Be able to provide two recent references to support your work with children
  • Be able to provide a full, clear DBS (you can apply for this through Vision if needs be)

£89 to £100 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
