Location: Hyde

Hours: Flexible shifts 06:00-16:00 or 07:00 - 17:00 or 08:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday, option to work 4 days a week

We're looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join our new Hyde workshop. You'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and inspecting a range of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring all work meets DVSA standards. This role is perfect for a motivated technician looking to develop their career in a professional, supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician

  • Carry out servicing, repairs, and routine maintenance on HGVs and trailers
  • Diagnose and repair faults using modern diagnostic equipment
  • Perform safety inspections and record all findings in line with DVSA standards
  • Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately
  • Maintain high standards of quality and efficiency in all tasks

Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician

Essential

  • Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience working with HGVs in a workshop environment
  • Strong technical and diagnostic knowledge
  • Positive attitude and strong attention to detail

Desirable

  • HGV Class 1 or 2 licence
  • IRTEC accreditation
