We are currently recruiting Recovery Workers to join our dynamic supported housing service in Hyde. We have various contract opportunities available, including full-time permanent roles and 6-month fixed-term contracts. Shifts will include a mixture of earlies, lates, waking nights, and sleep-ins (paid an additional 75.80 per sleep-in).
About Us
We are a 24-hour mental health support service offering both supported housing and community-based outreach. Working within a recovery model, we provide tailored support for individuals aged 18+ with a range of mental health needs. Our services empower people to build independent lives, reconnect with their community, and access work, education, and meaningful activities.
The Role
As a Recovery Worker, you will:
- Support individuals to maintain their tenancies and live independently.
- Collaborate with service users to develop personalised support plans.
- Help clients build practical life skills - from budgeting to domestic management.
- Encourage access to employment, training, education, and leisure activities.
About You
We're looking for individuals with experience or interest in supporting people with:
- Mental health challenges
- Substance misuse (drug and/or alcohol)
- Learning disabilities
- Autism spectrum conditions
You'll be:
- Empathetic, patient, and a natural problem solver
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and happy to work on a rota system including night shifts and occasional on-call duties
- Experienced or willing to learn - full training provided for the right candidate
