We are currently recruiting for a highly organised and proactive Clerk to the Trust / Governance Professional to support the strategic governance of a forward-thinking Multi-Academy Trust based in Redbridge, East London.

This is a pivotal role for an experienced governance professional or highly competent administrator with a strong understanding of compliance and legal frameworks in education. The successful candidate will provide vital support to the Trust Board, its committees, and local governing bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-level administrative and clerking services to the Board and committees.
  • Providing expert guidance on governance procedures, regulatory compliance, and best practice.
  • Preparing agendas, drafting accurate minutes, tracking actions, and supporting policy reviews.
  • Maintaining statutory records, governance documentation, and policy schedules.
  • Supporting the recruitment, induction, and training of trustees and governors.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Excellent communication, organisational and ICT skills.
  • High levels of integrity, discretion, and initiative.
  • A proven ability to manage information accurately and confidentially.
  • Experience in a governance, legal, or compliance-focused role is highly desirable.
  • A genuine interest in education and improving governance standards.
