About the Role:

We are looking for a Facilities Assistant to join our Premises Team, under the direction of the Facilities Manager. The Facilities team provide a high quality service to take care of the premises and school grounds, in order to secure a clean, comfortable, accessible and safe environment for all users of the school buildings.

The post will include maintaining the school grounds, carrying out minor repairs and routine maintenance, supervising external contractors whilst in the building and acting as a key holder - ensuring that the building is safe and secure at the end of the day.

The school is open between 6.30am and 6pm. 8 hour shifts (with one hour for lunch) are worked across a 2 week pattern. Flexibility is required.

About you:

A technical qualification or skilled vocational qualification is desirable.

Experience of carrying out grounds and minor work is essential along with the ability to follow procedures and to take direction from senior staff.
