The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate has a deep appreciation for Caribbean cuisine, a mastery of its fundamental techniques, and the creativity to contribute to our exciting menu. You will play a key role in maintaining the authenticity and consistency of our dishes while helping to foster a positive and efficient kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation & Cooking:

Execute all menu items with precision, consistency, and speed during service.

Master and prepare foundational Caribbean dishes and sauces

Prepare a variety of proteins (chicken, goat, oxtail, fish) using methods such as grilling, stewing, frying, and bbq smoking.

Ensure all dishes are plated attractively and according to the restaurant's standards.


Kitchen Management:


Assist in managing inventory, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of food supplies.

Maintain strict adherence to all food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP)

Monitor kitchen equipment and report any maintenance needs promptly.

Contribute to minimizing waste and controlling food costs.




Team Leadership & Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.

Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold a positive, respectful, and productive work environment, even during peak hours.


Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and test new specials and menu items that reflect the flavors of the Caribbean.

Provide input on seasonal ingredients and menu improvements.

What You Bring (Qualifications or Experience or Both):


Proven experience as a Chef, Sous Chef, or Line Cook in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant. Experience in a Caribbean, African, Latin, or Afro-Caribbean restaurant is a significant advantage.


Deep, demonstrable knowledge of Caribbean cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques.

Strong understanding of flavor profiles, including the use of scotch bonnet peppers, allspice, thyme, ginger, and coconut.

Excellent knife skills and proficiency in butchery and protein preparation.

Ability to stand for long periods, work in a hot environment, and lift heavy pots and supplies

A collaborative spirit, strong work ethic, and a positive, can-do attitude.


Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.


Bonus Points For:


Formal culinary training or apprenticeship.

Knowledge of vegan and vegetarian caribbean dishes.
