About the Role
As General Manager, youll take full responsibility for venue operations managing the2 AA Rosette restaurantandcasual outdoor garden areaswith a focus onquality, efficiency, and profitabilitywith a particular focus on kitchen ops.
Youll work closely with the Head Chef and Operations Director to align the kitchen, front of house, and garden teams, ensuring a consistent and memorable experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the team across our2 AA Rosette restaurantandcasual outdoor garden spaces.
- Work closely with theSenior Leadership Teamto maintain operational excellence, team alignment, and consistently high guest standards across all areas of the business.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring both restaurant and garden services run smoothly, efficiently, and profitably.
- Manage budgets, P&L, and labour targets - you will be expected to make data-driven decisions that protect standards and drive growth.
- Maintain full compliance withHACCP, hygiene, and safety procedures, and ensure all brand and service standards are consistently met.
- Support, develop, and motivate your team through clear communication, structured training, and hands-on leadership.
- Champion sustainability, local sourcing, and the community ethos that definesBarge East.
- Be a leader during service, setting the tone for excellence.
About You
- Proven experience as aGeneral Managerin a food-led or AA Rosette-level venue.
- Strong understanding ofkitchen operations and back-of-house processes.
- Confident managing bothquality diningandbusy high-volume, outdoor hospitality spaces.
- Commercially astute with solidfinancial control and cost managementskills.
- Inspiring leader with a genuine passion for food, drink, and great guest experiences.
- Organised, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
