Senior Finance Business Partner
A Local Authority in East London who are looking to appoint a talented Senior Finance Business Partner on an Interim basis, are working with Spencer Clarke Group to find a successful candidate.
What's on offer:
- Rates: 420 - 550 per day, inside IR35.
*Negotiable based on experience

- Hybrid Working 2/3 days in office per week.
- Contract type: Contract (37 hrs a week)
- Hours: 09:00 -17:00
About the role:
The purpose of this role is to act as Senior Finance Business Partner for a portfolio of services within the Council, providing financial advice, guidance and support to Strategic Directors, Directors, Heads of Service and other Managers.
Responsibilities:
Based in East London (Hybrid):
To lead and manage the business partnering team for a defined set of Council services providing full financial support including (but not limited to):
- Budget monitoring and forecasting
- Technical finance advice on specialist areas (e.g. Schools, Capital, Grants, HRA).
- Provision of accurate and timely reports on relevant financial issues and performance.
- Providing data analysis and options appraisal to enable financially sound and informed decision making.
- Budget setting and financial planning.
- Year-end processes including providing specified notes to the accounts and audit evidence.
About you:
You will have the following experience:
- CCAB qualification or equivalent
- Experience of working in local government finance, Demonstrable thorough knowledge and experience of closure of accounts, budget planning.
