Maths Lecturer - Training Provider (East London)
Full-time - Permanent
Salary: 30,000 - 44,000 (depending on experience)

We are a well-established training provider in East London with over 20 years' experience in delivering creative and academic programmes for young people and adults. We offer a range of vocational study programmes, apprenticeships, traineeships, and adult learning courses, and operate a dedicated independent school for 14-16-year-olds.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Maths Lecturer to deliver GCSE Maths (Edexcel) and Functional Skills Maths (Levels 1 & 2) to learners aged 14-19. This role requires a proactive, organised, and motivated individual with a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to learner success.
Essential Qualifications:
*GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or equivalent
*A degree or relevant qualification in a related subject
*Level 5 teaching qualification (preferred - relevant experience will be considered)
Essential Skills and Attributes:
*Ability to plan, deliver, and assess GCSE and Functional Skills Maths
*Strong organisation and time management skills
*Proven teaching skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners
*Understanding of the Ofsted framework and learner data
*Confident in managing a classroom environment
*Empathetic and responsive to the needs of young learners, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable Experience:
*Previous success teaching Maths in FE or similar educational settings
*Experience embedding maths into vocational or industry-specific content
*Background in a creative industry or entrepreneurial setting
*Use of varied teaching strategies tailored to diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons that support learner progression
*Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and follow internal behaviour policies
*Record attendance and learner data using internal systems (Arbor, Google Workspace)
*Provide regular feedback and use a range of assessment methods
*Contribute to retention and achievement rate targets
*Attend training, team meetings, and development sessions
*Maintain communication with guardians through emails, calls, and parents' evenings
*Support learners in exam preparation and functional application of maths
Salary and Working Pattern:
*35 hours per week across 5 days, all year round (52 weeks)
*35 days annual leave + UK bank holidays
