The Role:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Lewisham from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role, ideal for a dedicated teacher with strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young minds. The ability to teach Biology, Chemistry, or Physics to KS4 is essential; experience with KS5 is desirable but not required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Teach one or more science specialisms (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics), with opportunities to contribute to KS5 if appropriate.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support.

  • Foster a safe and stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity and academic achievement.

  • Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and extra-curricular science-based activities.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • A degree in a Science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).

  • Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school (ECTs are encouraged to apply).

  • High expectations of behaviour and achievement for all students.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
