Salary: 95 - 115 per day (dependent on experience)

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in East London is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team right away. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who need extra support, working closely with both staff and families to ensure every pupil achieves their potential.

About the Role:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties.

  • Assist the class teacher in creating an engaging, supportive learning environment.

  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.

  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interaction in pupils.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting.

  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 TA or SEN training) are desirable but not essential.
