Reeson Education is recruiting passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a range of inclusive and supportive primary schools across Waltham Forest. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or someone looking to take their first steps into special educational needs support.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll be providing one-to-one or small group support to pupils with additional needs such as autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, or behavioural challenges. Roles are available for an immediate start, with flexibility for those seeking part-time or full-time hours.
Role Details for the SEN Teaching Assistant:
Pay: 82.14-100 per day (PAYE)
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Waltham Forest (including Walthamstow, Leyton, and Chingford)
Contract: Full-time or flexible supply work available
Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
Provide tailored one-to-one support to pupils with special educational needs
Help children with communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction
Support classroom activities and help adapt materials to suit individual needs
Collaborate with class teachers and SENCOs to ensure consistent progress
Promote positive behaviour and help pupils build confidence and independence
Requirements for an SEN Teaching Assistant:
Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting children with additional needs
A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude
Understanding of autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs (training can be provided)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Availability to work during term time
