Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead our pipework and structural steel fabrication operations, ensuring Gas and Oil projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
Oversee on-site delivery and installation, collaborating closely with clients and project teams.
Allocate resources efficiently, providing hands-on leadership on the shop floor.
Ensure strict compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001, ISO 3834, BS EN 1090).
Support pre-construction phases and assist in project estimating.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, streamlining processes in fabrication and production.
Champion health, safety, and environmental best practices through regular toolbox talks and robust safety culture.
Foster strong client, subcontractor, and internal relationships.
What Were Looking For:
HNC/HND or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years experience managing fabrication or production operations within the Gas and Oil industry.
In-depth knowledge of pipe fabrication, structural steel, and relevant ISO standards (9001, 3834, BS EN 1090).
Strong ability to interpret piping, structural, and civil engineering drawings.
Proactive and hands-on management style, thriving in fast-paced Gas and Oil project environments.
Experience preparing risk assessments, method statements, and daily operational records.
Familiarity with lifting operations; certifications like CSCS, Slinging, or Signaller advantageous.
Bonus: Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar planning software.
