Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:
- Act as the SAP for 6.6KV systems under company and DNO/IDNO authorisation.
- Carry out switching operations, issue safety documents (PTW, SFT, LOA), and ensure all HV works are executed safely.
- Supervise and coordinate HV commissioning activities, including protection testing, cable terminations, and system energisation.
- Liaise with project managers, design engineers, and client representatives to ensure HV milestones are achieved.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with statutory regulations, industry standards, and internal HSEQ policies.
- Maintain up-to-date HV records, test results, and safety documentation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and site operatives.
- Lead fault-finding and diagnostics where required
- Current and valid SAP authorisation up to 11kV (from a DNO, IDNO, or reputable private network).
- Demonstrable experience managing high-voltage works on large-scale infrastructure or Battery Storage facilitieIn-depth understanding of electrical safety rules, switching schedules, and permit systems.
- Competent in HV protection schemes, cable systems, and commissioning protocols.
- Ideally have worked for the EPC Contractor within the Power Industry
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering).
Location, day rate and timeframe of the Senior Authorised Persons (6.6KV) position:
- North Lincolnshire
- 500.00 to 550.00 per day outside IR35
- Immediate start date
- 6 months
