About the Role

  • We are recruiting Port Operatives to support day-to-day dockside and warehouse operations at our busy port facility. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely movement of goods and cargo.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Loading and unloading vessels, containers, and vehicles

    • Handling, securing, and moving cargo safely and efficiently

    • Operating port machinery and equipment (training provided where necessary)

    • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment

    • Following health & safety, environmental, and security procedures at all times

    • Assisting with general warehouse and yard duties as required

    Requirements

    • Previous experience in port, warehouse, or logistics operations preferred (not essential)

    • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks

    • Safety-conscious, reliable, and hardworking

    • Flexible with working hours, including shift work, evenings, and weekends

    • Forklift, loading shovel, or plant licences (desirable but not essential - training available)
