(Import Operator) - Position Overview
Our client are looking to recruit a passionate and driven Import Operator, where your work connects the UK to Iceland, the Faroes, Norway, Canada, and the US. As part of our client's dedicated Import Team, you'll help deliver seamless cargo operations and exceptional service to their global customers.
(Import Operator) - Positions tasks and responsibilities
- Creating and managing electronic customer files using Boltrics/Dynamics
- Preparing customs entries via Descartes, Destin8, CDS, and IPAFFS
- Coordinating with local authorities and generating discharge lists through internal systems/EDI
- Organising cargo delivery with third-party hauliers
- Communicating with customers, suppliers, and Eimskip's international offices
- Handling supplier invoices and preparing quotations
- Opportunity to be involved in vessel operations, supporting port-side logistics and coordination
(Import Operator) - Position Remuneration - Monday to Friday: 09:00 - 17:00 (with a 1-hour lunch break)
Over each 6-week period:
- You'll work one Saturday, with the preceding Monday off
- You'll also cover vessel operations during one full weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- Additional payment applies for weekend coverage
Salary starting:
- From 26,000 (depending on experience)
