Make a real difference. Lead a team that speaks up for those who need to be heard.

We’re looking for an experienced and people-focused Team Leader to guide and inspire a group of dedicated advocates. You’ll ensure your team delivers exceptional advocacy services that empower individuals, protect their rights, and influence positive change in health and social care.

In this role, you won’t have your own caseload — instead, your focus will be on supporting, coaching, and developing your team to deliver their very best work. You’ll work shoulder to shoulder with them, driving high standards, embedding best practice, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

This is more than a management role — it’s a chance to shape the future of advocacy services and directly influence the quality of life for the people we serve. You’ll be part of a supportive and values-driven organisation where your leadership will have real impact.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing leadership, guidance, and day-to-day performance management for a team of advocates.
  • Working closely with quality and safeguarding specialists to ensure services meet the highest professional standards.
  • Delivering coaching, training, and development to help your team grow in skill and confidence.
  • Using performance data and quality insights to make informed decisions that improve service delivery.
  • Building positive relationships with stakeholders, ensuring services are shaped by the voices of the people we support.
  • Promoting safe, ethical practice that reflects organisational values and complies with safeguarding legislation.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience managing and developing a team, ideally within a social care, advocacy, or related setting.
  • A confident decision-maker who can address performance issues fairly and constructively.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and quality standards in a people-focused service.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across different teams.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of work.
