Van Drivers & Class 1 Driving Work

- Location - Inverness

- Ongoing temporary contract work

We are currently seeking reliable and professional Van Drivers/Class 1 Drivers for a 7.5 for ad-hoc shifts for the Inverness area for our client.

You will be responsible for safely transporting goods/personnel to and from specified locations, maintaining the vehicle in excellent condition, and delivering excellent customer service at all times.

The vans will be delivering medical goods to pharmacies across the highlands, to carehomes and private houses. This will cover the entire Highlands area.

Lorries deliver to the pharmacies/stores and deliver to carehomes around the Highland areas. You will typically do 2 runs a day and the afternoon is normally them delivering to care homes/subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive company vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules
  • Load and unload goods where applicable
  • Ensure timely deliveries and pick-ups
  • Keep accurate logs of journeys, fuel, and maintenance
  • Perform daily vehicle checks and report any issues
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license [Class 1/2 where applicable]
  • Clean driving record
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of routes
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
