Our client is a well establish service provider based in Inverness.  Having won multiple awards they are now looking to grow their team with a Trainee Service and IT Engineer. This role could be ideal for a college leaver, IT enthusiast, or someone looking for a new career path, this will give you the chance to build valuable skills and grow in a stable, in-demand industry.Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the installation, setup, and configuration of photocopiers, printers, and multi-functional devices (MFDs)
- Supporting with network connectivity tasks, including scanning setup, driver installation, and integrating devices with customer IT systems.
- Learning how to diagnose hardware and software faults — both remotely and on-site.
- Carry out routine equipment maintenance to ensure devices are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Helping to maintain service records, complete job reports, and support senior engineers
What We’re Looking For:
- A keen interest in IT, electronics, or mechanical engineering
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, network connectivity (IP addressing), and general troubleshooting
- Good problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on attitude
- Strong communication skills and a professional manner with customers
- Full UK driving licence (or working towards it)
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills through structured training.
