Temporary Estates Support Officer / CaretakerWe are currently recruiting for a Temporary Estates Support Officer / Caretaker to join a busy and supportive school environment in Ipswich. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in site management, caretaking, or general maintenance looking for a flexible role with immediate start.Position: Estates Support Officer / CaretakerLocation: Ipswich (school site)Contract: Temporary, Full-Time (flexible hours considered)Start Date: ASAPHours: Typically 12:00pm – 8:00pm (negotiable)Pay: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)DBS: Enhanced DBS requiredKey Responsibilities:

Opening and securing the school site each day
Setting up rooms for exams and events
Carrying out basic maintenance and repairs around the school
Liaising with external contractors when required
Performing regular risk assessments, PAT testing, and fire alarm testing
Supporting the overall upkeep and safety of the school facilities

Ideal Candidate:

Previous caretaking, estates, or site support experience in an education setting preferred
Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
Good understanding of health & safety in a school or public setting
Flexible and willing to adapt working hours where needed
Holds a valid enhanced DBS
