Temporary Estates Support Officer / CaretakerWe are currently recruiting for a Temporary Estates Support Officer / Caretaker to join a busy and supportive school environment in Ipswich. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in site management, caretaking, or general maintenance looking for a flexible role with immediate start.Position: Estates Support Officer / CaretakerLocation: Ipswich (school site)Contract: Temporary, Full-Time (flexible hours considered)Start Date: ASAPHours: Typically 12:00pm – 8:00pm (negotiable)Pay: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)DBS: Enhanced DBS requiredKey Responsibilities:
  • Opening and securing the school site each day
  • Setting up rooms for exams and events
  • Carrying out basic maintenance and repairs around the school
  • Liaising with external contractors when required
  • Performing regular risk assessments, PAT testing, and fire alarm testing
  • Supporting the overall upkeep and safety of the school facilities
Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous caretaking, estates, or site support experience in an education setting preferred
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Good understanding of health & safety in a school or public setting
  • Flexible and willing to adapt working hours where needed
  • Holds a valid enhanced DBS
