Remuneration: £28,000 - £35,000 + bonus
Benefits: Full comprehensive benefits (hybrid working after probation)The role of the Specification Technician - Flat Roofing Systems will involve:
- Specification Technician position dealing with various flat roof systems such as; felt roofing, green roofing systems, bitumen membranes, hot melt roofing, cold liquid applied waterproofing, waterproof roof coatings, single ply, structural waterproofing etc
- Produce, check and process incoming technical specification requests, detail drawing requests, technical documentation and technical calculations
- Checking of all incoming specification types produced for all waterproofing systems, against suitability and compatibility
- Review completed roof survey reports
- Liaison with clients and Area Technical Sales Managers providing technical advice
- Dealing with inbound telephone and email enquiries
- Checking and understanding specification construction, survey reports and construction drawings
The ideal applicant will be a Specification Technician - Flat Roofing Systems with:
- Must be a technically minded individual with experience within the construction industry
- Experience carrying out calculations such as: wind load, u-value, moisture control, structural calculations, load calculations would be highly advantageous
- Candidates coming from an architectural background would be a good fit
- Ideally will have experience within the roofing and waterproofing market sector
- Familiar with technical literature, specifications and surveys / reports
- Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
- Ideally will have a construction related degree
- Strong technical skills
- IT literate (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
