Your new role
As Commercial Manager, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing the commercial and financial performance of our construction projects. You'll be responsible for managing contracts, controlling costs, and ensuring profitability while working closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commercial function across multiple construction projects.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost plans.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, procurement, and subcontractor management.
  • Monitor project performance and implement cost-control measures.
  • Provide commercial insight and strategic advice to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
  • Excellent financial, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
