Our client, a leader in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working on a range of traffic engineering projects, contributing to the development and implementation of transportation solutions within the network of highways.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing traffic management schemes
- Conducting traffic impact assessments and feasibility studies
- Designing and reviewing traffic control devices, including traffic signals and signage
- Analysing traffic flow data to identify and resolve traffic issues
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success
- Preparing technical reports and presentations for stakeholders
- Overseeing and managing project timelines, ensuring efficient delivery
- Ensuring all traffic engineering works comply with relevant regulations and standards
Job Requirements:
- Experience in traffic engineering within the highways sector
- Strong understanding of traffic management principles and practices
- Proficiency in using traffic analysis software
- Ability to conduct and interpret traffic impact assessments
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong project management abilities
- Relevant degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
