Agilis Search is currently partnering with a development-focused and progressive business in Ipswich who are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join their highly innovate team on a permanent basis.

As Business Analyst in this multi-award winning organisation, you will be required to get under the skin of the business, work closely with Key Stakeholders to effectively map an exciting mix of cutting-edge IT and business change projects. You will be required to collect, clarify and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design from which applications and solutions are developed.

You will have experience of working in a large, fast-paced project environment and be an advocate of Agile working and have a strong understanding of business and change management needs.

The IT Business Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between IT and business units by using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to stakeholders. This role supports the successful implementation of technology solutions that meet business needs. Day to day duties include:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, and requirements.
  • Gather, document, and analyse business and technical requirements.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional specifications.
  • Work closely with developers, QA teams, and project managers to deliver system solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions.
  • Create user stories, use cases, process flows, and wireframes.
  • Assist in solution design, testing strategies, and implementation plans.
  • Support change management activities including training and documentation.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and propose IT-enabled solutions.
  • Ensure solutions meet regulatory and compliance standards.

Experience Required:

  • Experience within a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst role within a large, big-project business or software environment;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in requirements gathering and business process modelling
  • Comfortable with Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Understanding of databases, APIs, or cloud platforms.
  • Project management experience or qualifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).

This role is ideally suited to an organised, decisive team player with exceptional communication skills in order to translate complex requirements to large projects teams.
