An award-winning global logistics company in Ipswich is expanding its warehouse team and seeking a Night Shift Warehouse Manager to oversee night operations. You'll ensure smooth continuity of operations, manage people, processes, and systems, and maintain productivity and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee night shift operations and manage warehouse staff.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and transport companies.
- Monitor receipt, order assembly, and dispatch of goods.
- Collaborate with other managers on workload planning and SOP development.
- Manage automated systems and respond to customer communications.
- Motivate teams to meet/exceed productivity targets.
- Produce regular reports and maintain health, safety, and security standards.
- Oversee warehouse maintenance and equipment.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Strong communication skills (written and oral).
- Stock management, numeracy, and finance understanding.
- Proven leadership, team-building, and delegation skills.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-driven.
- IT proficiency (database management, spreadsheets).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- H&S qualifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH).
- Knowledge of warehouse legal requirements.
