Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Design and Technology Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop students' skills in designing, making, and evaluating products using a range of materials and technologies.
  • Foster a stimulating and safe workshop environment that encourages experimentation and innovation.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in Design and Technology, providing constructive feedback to support their development as designers and makers.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design and Technology or a closely related subject.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Design and Technology Teacher lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • A strong understanding of design principles, manufacturing processes, and relevant technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with students and colleagues.
