The Role
SWIFT Temps Ltd Engineering Division is recruiting a skilled Maintenance Engineer for a permanent position across two key manufacturing sites in Grassington and Keighley. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team within the food and beverage production industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on machinery such as conveyors, shrink wrappers, chillers, and bottling lines
- Rapid response to breakdowns to reduce production downtime
- Electrical fault finding and repair (motors, drives, wiring, relays, sensors, etc.)
- PLC fault diagnosis and support for commissioning
- Assist in installation and improvement projects
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager and wider team
- Support general repairs and new equipment installation across both sites
What Were Looking For
- Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, and control systems
- Welding experience (MIG & TIG) beneficial
- Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food production environment
- Relevant engineering qualifications or apprenticeship
- Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
- Must be flexible to travel between Grassington and Keighley sites
Working Hours & Benefits
- Hours: 4 x 12-hour shifts per week (06:0018:00) including Saturdays on a rotating basis
- Holidays: 24 days (based on 4-day working week)
- Salary: £47,132 per annum
