Robert Half is currently recruiting on behalf of a respected organisation within the education sector for a Temporary Payroll Administrator. This is a full-time, office-based position reporting directly to the Payroll Manager. The contract will initially be for a minimum of three months, with the potential for extension depending on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process end-to-end payroll for a large, multi-site workforce accurately and on time

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and internal policies

  • Handle payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies promptly

  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation

  • Support the Payroll Manager with audits, reconciliations, and reporting

  • Liaise with HR and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy

  • Stay up to date with changes in payroll legislation and best practices

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a payroll administration role

  • Solid understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory obligations

  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail

  • Proficiency in iTrent system is preferred but not essential

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be available to start immediately and work full-time onsite
