Business Support Officer - Commissioning and Contracts Team.Working Basis: Onsite for 1 month for training, to move to Hybrid basis, 2 days onsite per week.Location: Haylock House, Kettering, NN15, 6YE.Woking Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, with 30 minutes unpaid break.Rate of Pay: £13.69 per hour PAYE.Duration: 3-month, temporary assignment with potential to extend.About the RoleOpus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our Client, North Northamptonshire Council, for a Business Support Officer to join the Commissioning and Contracts Team on a temporary basis. The purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the Commissioning and Contracts Team within the Adults Social Care department.Duties:
- Maintain an accurate database with information provided by the accountable workers on relevant customers of Adult Social Care.
- Maintaining and supporting any systems that are in place, including IT, filing and electronic storage systems, that may be in use to ensure effective delivery of services.
- Act as first point of contact for telephone and email queries.
- Providing an efficient and confidential administrative service, including use of all electronic applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases, Outlook etc, to enable the team to deliver services efficiently.
- Supporting the assessment and review of customers by ensuring all requested assessments and reviews are received on time.
- Processing general financial claims and payments in accordance with NNC regulations and guidelines.
Essential Experience:
- Previous experience in administrative roles is essential.
- Previous experience in Contract roles is beneficial.
- Previous experience working within the Adult Social Care sector is beneficial.
- Good IT skills are essential with experience of using Microsoft Applications such as Outlook, Teams, Excel and Word.
- Confidence and strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external customers via verbal and electronic communication.
- Strong organisational, multitasking and prioritising skills to manage workloads.
- Keen eye for attention to detail with initiative to investigate any discrepancies.
