About the Role

We are looking for a candidate to join our clients busy production team in Kettering on a temporary basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a production environment although specific experience is not required as training will be given on the use of the machines / guillotines.

You’ll be responsible for some elements of machine setup, programming, and ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy are maintained throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up various machinery, including guillotines and other metalworking equipment
  • Programme machines in line with job specifications and drawings
  • Handle and lift sheet metal safely (manual handling of heavy materials required)
  • Carry out basic mathematical calculations to ensure accuracy and correct tolerances
  • Inspect finished parts to maintain quality standards
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean working environment
  • Work as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience within a production environment
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy sheet metal safely
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
