Business Support Officer - Commissioning and Contracts Team.
Working Basis: Onsite for 1 month for training, to move to Hybrid basis, 2 days onsite per week.
Location: Haylock House, Kettering, NN15, 6YE.
Woking Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, with 30 minutes unpaid break.
Rate of Pay: 13.69 per hour PAYE.
Duration: 3-month, temporary assignment with potential to extend.

About the Role
Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our Client, North Northamptonshire Council, for a Business Support Officer to join the Commissioning and Contracts Team on a temporary basis. The purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the Commissioning and Contracts Team within the Adults Social Care department.

Duties:

  • Maintain an accurate database with information provided by the accountable workers on relevant customers of Adult Social Care.
  • Maintaining and supporting any systems that are in place, including IT, filing and electronic storage systems, that may be in use to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Act as first point of contact for telephone and email queries.
  • Providing an efficient and confidential administrative service, including use of all electronic applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases, Outlook etc, to enable the team to deliver services efficiently.
  • Supporting the assessment and review of customers by ensuring all requested assessments and reviews are received on time.
  • Processing general financial claims and payments in accordance with NNC regulations and guidelines.


Essential Experience:

  • Previous experience in administrative roles is essential.
  • Previous experience in Contract roles is beneficial.
  • Previous experience working within the Adult Social Care sector is beneficial.
  • Good IT skills are essential with experience of using Microsoft Applications such as Outlook, Teams, Excel and Word.
  • Confidence and strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external customers via verbal and electronic communication.
  • Strong organisational, multitasking and prioritising skills to manage workloads.
  • Keen eye for attention to detail with initiative to investigate any discrepancies.
