Orion are partnered with a fast-paced heavy industrial manufacturing company based in Kidderminster who are looking for an electrically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities

  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on aluminium die casting machines and CNC machinery (metal components).
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including transformers, motors, sensors, relays, and inverters.
  • PLC fault finding – read inputs/outputs and troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and facility electrical maintenance.
  • Occasional robotics maintenance.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
  • Strong electrical bias with proven experience in industrial maintenance.
  • PLC fault finding skills (inputs/outputs).
  • CNC machine maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

 

Bonus Skills

  • PLC programming experience.
  • Robotics maintenance exposure.
