The Burford Recruitment Company is delighted to be partnering with a Premium Private Club in the Cotswolds to appoint an exceptional Executive Chef to lead their culinary operation and shape the club’s dining offering as part of an exciting new chapter.
This is a rare and rewarding opportunity for a talented and ambitious Executive Chef—or an experienced Sous Chef ready to step up into leadership—to play a key role in creating something special.
The vision is to offer an elegant yet relaxed club experience, where exceptional food is at the heart of member satisfaction. The Executive Chef will play a crucial role in crafting a dining experience that is refined, welcoming, and authentically Cotswold.
You'll lead a dedicated kitchen team delivering a breakfast menu at weekends, and a busy seven-day lunch/dinner service, with additional events and functions throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including cost control, inventory, supplier relationships, and compliance
- Design and deliver seasonal menus that blend classic English and continental dishes, with room for wider culinary influences
- Lead, manage, and inspire a committed kitchen brigade
- Source high-quality ingredients from local suppliers within a 25-30 mile radius where possible
- Achieve and maintain a target gross margin % through strategic purchasing and menu planning
- Ensure the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation
- Foster a collaborative culture that supports creativity, consistency, and continuous improvement
