Housing Lawyer

£51,005 - £56,821 | Fully Remote Working | Annualised Hours

This is a unique opportunity to step into a sole Housing Lawyer role with two forward-thinking councils. You’ll be the go-to legal expert for all things housing, from tenancy disputes and evictions to affordable housing schemes and leasehold negotiations. And you’ll do it all on your own terms, with full remote working and true professional autonomy.

Your Role

• Advise on all aspects of housing law, including landlord/tenant issues and unlawful occupancy

• Handle housing litigation such as evictions, disrepair, and land disputes.

• Draft and review tenancy agreements, lease terms, and housing-related policies.

• Ensure compliance with legal obligations, especially around affordable housing delivery.

• Deliver training and guidance to housing officers and councillors.

• Work in close collaboration with the housing team, becoming a trusted, embedded legal partner.

What We’re Looking For

? A qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive

? Strong post-qualification experience in housing law, ideally within or for a local authority

? Skilled in litigation, negotiation, and drafting

? Confident working solo with a proactive, self-led approach

? Collaborative mindset and able to embed yourself into a client team
