Description
The Head of Transport will,
- Review, develop and implement strategies to optimise the transport operations covering processes, systems, and team
- Manage and lead the transport team, ensuring clear communication and raising operational and financial performance
- Ensure all operations adhere to health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments, specifically warehouse operations to meet / exceed client expectations
- Build and develop reporting to aid efficient business decisions
- Support investment decisions to build the national network
Profile
A successful Head of Transport should have:
- Proven experience in the development of a transport network
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and regulations.
- Ability to analyse data and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ideally, experience of TMS implementation
