About the Role:

A leading UK main contractor is seeking a proactive and experienced Quality Manager to support the delivery of a major power transmission framework across Scotland. This is a high-profile, long-term programme supporting the national transition to a low-carbon energy future through the development of resilient, sustainable infrastructure.

As Quality Manager, you will take ownership of quality assurance and control across multiple large-scale infrastructure projects—ensuring compliance with contract requirements, industry standards, and best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project-specific Quality Management Plans aligned with the overall framework strategy.

  • Lead quality assurance and control processes across all project phases.

  • Support site teams in implementing robust quality procedures and promote a “right first time” culture.

  • Carry out audits, inspections, and reviews to monitor quality performance and drive continual improvement.

  • Liaise with clients, designers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure quality standards are clearly understood and upheld.

  • Investigate non-conformances and lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes.

  • Produce regular reports on quality KPIs and provide strategic input on improvement initiatives.

About You:

  • Strong background in quality management within infrastructure, civil engineering, or power transmission sectors.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards and systems.

  • Experience working on large frameworks or multi-project programmes.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.

  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. IRCA, CQI, or similar) preferred.
