As Executive Head Chef, youll oversee all culinary operations across Burgh Island Hotel and The Pilchard Inn, delivering excellence from:
Fine dining in the Grand Ballroom
Relaxed, soulful dishes at The Pilchard Inn
Modern British cuisine at The Nettleford
Youll develop a distinctive culinary identity celebrating the island, the tides and the best of Devons local suppliers. This is a hands-on leadership role balancing creativity, operational delivery and team development, while working closely with the F&B and senior leadership teams.
Lead, inspire and develop all kitchen teams to deliver exceptional food and service
Create seasonal menus across all outlets showcasing local, sustainable produce
Drive innovation while respecting Burgh Island heritage
Oversee kitchen management including food safety, compliance, costing and labour planning
Collaborate with F&B and senior leadership to deliver a seamless guest experience
Elevate celebration and event catering with memorable culinary experiences
Champion a positive, inclusive and empowered kitchen culture
You are a leader with culinary excellence and emotional intelligence nurturing your team while driving standards and innovation.
Proven experience as Head or Executive Chef in a high-quality, independent or destination hotel with multiple dining concepts
Commitment to seasonal, responsible, local sourcing
Strong leadership and mentoring approach
Commercial awareness with proven cost and margin management
