OverviewMy client is seeking a passionate and experienced Sustainability & Compliance Manager to drive its environmental, ethical, and health & safety initiatives. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives on making a tangible impact, ensuring regulatory compliance, and embedding sustainability into every aspect of operations.

Key Responsibilities

Sustainability & ESG

  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies.
  • Lead ESG data reporting and award submissions.
  • Drive environmental initiatives (e.g. waste reduction, carbon footprint).
  • Ensure accurate environmental documentation (e.g. Waste Transfer Notes).

Compliance & Accreditation

  • Manage certifications (e.g. B Corp, ISO 14001/45001, Avetta).
  • Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain documentation and liaise with auditors.
  • Monitor and respond to regulatory changes.

Health & Safety

  • Oversee all health and safety operations.
  • Conduct risk reviews and maintain RAMS.
  • Lead audits, inspections, and staff training.

Team Leadership

  • Guide technicians and promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
  • Collaborate across departments to embed best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior sustainability, compliance, and health & safety role
  • Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, environmental reporting, and accreditation processes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead health and safety programs, including RAMS development
  • Experience managing ISO and B Corp certification processes
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and influence across all levels of the business
