We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Financial Controller to join our leadership team. This is a key role suited to a commercially aware finance professional who thrives in a dynamic SME environment. You will oversee all financial operations, provide strategic insights, and help drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare management accounts and financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and tax regulations
  • Support senior leadership with financial planning and decision-making
  • Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and banks
  • Implement and improve financial controls, systems, and processes
  • Provide financial insights to support operational efficiency and profitability

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE with strong SME experience
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a growing SME
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and adaptable
  • Strong communication skills and business acumen
