- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge of vehicle systems, particularly HGVs.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to find effective solutions to mechanical problems.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision to ensure the quality of repairs.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in vehicle mechanics.
- Previous experience working as an HGV mechanic or similar role is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to various locations as required.
- Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
