Astute's Power team is partnering witha leading Energy from Waste company to recruit an EC&I Technician for its site in Allerton, North Yorkshire.
The EC&I Technician role comes with a starting salary of up to 48,000 + benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Fault finding, installing and maintaining electrical systems, instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow and level) and control systems.
- Calibrations and loop checking of instruments relating to the sites DCS/control systems.
- Maintaining the continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS)
- Assist in the development of plant modification and improvement work.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS
- Supervising and directing on site contractors when required
- Ensuring strict HSE compliance at all times.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A recognised electrical or controls and instrumentation engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or HNC preferred
- At least 3 years of experience working in the maintenance team in a heavy process environment such as a power station, refinery, chemical plant etc.
- Candidates with an Electrical bias are preferred

- Ability to work well alone or in a team
- Is results focused and can deliver accurate results on time.
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
