Position: Level 2B SEN Teaching Assistant
Hours: 8:45 – 3:45 (half hour lunch) term time only – 32.5 hours per week.
Type: Temporary contract (with possibility of going permanent for the right candidate)
Pay: (Apply online only)/day – depending on experience
Start Date: October 2025
Vida Education are looking for an experienced or newly qualified level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team. In this position you will be working within a specialist SEND provision catering for children from 2-19 years with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD) and/or diagnosis of autistic spectrum condition (ASC). The school in located north of Carnforth (LA5) and has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with children with ASC, PMLD or SLD
- Bring a nurturing, enthusiastic, and reliable presence to the classroom
- Full-time role is ideal – however part-time is also negotiable (minimum of 15 hours per week)
You would be joining a supportive and progressive team who encourages career progression.
YOU WILL NEED TO
- Have UK Right to Work Status.
- Hold a TA qualification or have relevant work experience.
- Complete a registration with Vida Education which includes holding a current Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service, or you will be prepared to apply for a new ENHANCED DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
