Reed Education is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive team in LancasterĀ on a long-term basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in a Learning Support role, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment for students with special educational needs (SEN).Ā 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide learning and care support for pupils with SEN, working closely with the teacher to plan and deliver activities.
  • Support pupils with routines, transitions, and behaviour management to ensure a conducive learning environment.
  • Act as a good role model for students by demonstrating qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Engage with students to promote interaction and inclusive educational practices.
  • One to one and small group work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Recent relevant experience working within a classroom environment.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with robust classroom management skills.
  • Reliable, committed, and interested in working with students.
  • Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
  • Must be trustworthy and able to uphold the qualities of a good role model.
