Assistant Financial Controller, Larne

£60,000 - £65,000 | Permanent | Newly Created

Reed is partnered with a world leading manufacturing business in County Antrim, in the appointment of an experienced Assistant Financial Controller on a permanent & full-time basis.

JOB SUMMARY:  To take ownership of the management and cost accounting functions, acting as a close business partner to the operational side of the business and to provide timely support, guidance, and business analytics to enable more rounded actions and to support continuous improvement.

  • Responsible for full variance analysis on a monthly basis across manufacturing operations
  • Responsible for 12-month forecasts
  • Responsible for managing the Operations budget from planning to execution
  • Managing the annual standard costing process, working in in partnership with operations and supply chain, ensuring accuracy and robustness in the process
  • Support with cost build-up models with new tenders
  • Being a core member of the operational excellence team
  • Acting in co-ordination with Finance Business Partner with regard business analytics, pushing the boundaries with Power BI
  • Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the accounting and financial reporting
  • Support cross-functional efforts with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, HR and others to drive efficiency and effectiveness in the organisation
  • Maintain relationships with colleagues, explore and share best practices and work jointly on system and other process improvements
  • A full job spec is available upon request

CRITERIA:

  • ACCA, ACA, CIMA (or equivalent) fully qualified
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial role
  • Experience within a manufacturing firm is a is preferable
  • Experience with financial statement preparation and related audits for statutory reporting highly preferred
  • Experience with SAP as an ERP system is preferable
  • A must/pre-requisite is superior excel modelling skills
