HR Advisor - Employee Relations

Loom Talent are partnering exclusively with a major player in the wholesale/distribution world to recruit an ER focused HR Advisor for their Warwickshire site. This is a busy, varied role within a growing ER team, supporting a large operational workforce of c6000 employees - perfect if you enjoy being right at the heart of employee relations and problem solving.

What you will be doing

A true ER Advisor role where you'll be the first port of call for managers across the business.

Day-to-day, as the ER Advisor you'll be:

  • Providing consistent, timely and practical advice on complex ER matters - disciplinary, grievance, gross misconduct, capability, bullying and harassment
  • Guiding managers through investigations and appeals, ensuring all documentation is spot on
  • Leading on sickness absence management: attending meetings, preparing letters, advising on OH, supporting appeals and guiding managers where termination is required
  • Coaching managers on policy, best practice and confident people management
  • Ensuring ER cases are managed in line with company policies, escalating complex issues where needed
  • Advising on terms & conditions, policy interpretation and probation reviews
  • Maintaining accurate ER records, casework databases and reporting on trends
  • Building strong working relationships across the business, acting as a credible and trusted ER partner
  • Supporting wider HR/ER work including TUPE, M&A activity.

What they would like from you

  • Experience in ER case management with confidence advising managers independently
  • Comfortable running meetings, investigations and giving clear, consistent guidance
  • Strong understanding of employment law, process and policy
  • Experience in logistics, manufacturing, FMCG or similar would be ideal
