This superb, full time IT Solutions/Systems Designer opportunity is to support an increase in demand from high profile projects and business change initiatives across our leading financial services client's business.
Your exciting role will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design, prototype and guide the delivery of solutions across multiple components that meet the needs of the user, comply with design principles and fall within Brand Guidelines.
You will lead and support both technical design processes and embed the culture of good user experience, whilst ensuring the solution remains fit for purpose, meets the business and system(s) requirements and is successfully transitioned into business-as-usual (BAU) operations.
This is an excellent opportunity to help design our client's IT applications and provide key input into the creation and maintenance of design patterns.
Ideal experience:
- Strong and recent experience of IT systems/applications design/software systems design
- Road mapping/solution design
- Assist architects in creating 'Solution Vision'
- ITIL (v4) & COBIT awareness
- Experience of various software development methodologies
- Good knowledge of SDLC
- Ability to communicate complex technical content and processes in a clear and coherent way
- Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Non-Functional Requirements
- Experience of prototyping/wire framing
- Experience working within an ITIL environment
- Experience in Guidewire system design (Desirable)
- UML
- Experience in a Financial services, insurance, investments and/or pensions environment would be desirable
