CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator/Miller

We're working with a well-established engineering company based in Surrey that is expanding its Machine Shop team.
The Role
As a CNC Milling Programmer/Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Programming 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC milling machines using Fanuc and Sinumerik controls
- Creating and refining offline programs using EDGECAM
- Setting up machines and producing first-off components to tight tolerances
- Producing clear, accurate machine set-up documentation
- Staying current with advancements in tooling and machining techniques
- Working closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to support continuous improvement
- Mentoring new staff and maintaining a safe, clean working environment
Key Requirements
- Proven experience programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc and Sinumerik controls
- Experience with offline programming via EDGECAM
- Ability to work on 3, 4, and preferably 5 axis machines
- Confident in reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring equipment
- Methodical, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines
Desirable Qualifications
- Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent
