Are you passionate about supporting children with complex special educational needs? Do you have the resilience, empathy, and dedication to make a real difference in their day-to-day learning and development?

We are looking for a Special Needs Support Assistant to join a specialist provision in Leatherhead to work on a full-time basis, supporting students with complex needs in a caring and structured environment.

The role involves:

  • Supporting students with a range of complex needs including ASD, physical disabilities, non-verbal communication, and medical or sensory needs

  • Working 1:1 or within small groups to provide consistent, tailored support

  • Collaborating closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals

  • Using visual aids, Makaton, PECS, or other communication systems (training can be provided)

  • Assisting with personal care where required and ensuring a safe, engaging learning environment

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience or a strong interest in working with children with complex needs

  • Be patient, nurturing, and proactive

  • Have a calm and positive approach to behaviour support

  • Be available to work Monday to Friday, 9:15am-3:15pm

  • Hold a DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
