Role responsibilities
- Preparing year-end accounts for a range of SMEs, owner-managed businesses and larger companies
- Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns prepared by junior staff and providing support where needed
- Assisting with management accounts and business performance reports
- Liaising directly with clients, handling queries and building strong working relationships
- Supporting business advisory projects including budgeting, forecasting and cash flow
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and deadlines
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to their professional development

Candidate requirements
- AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA or ACA, or qualified by experience
- Strong experience in preparing accounts for a range of businesses
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations

- Ability to manage workload independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and interest in developing others through mentoring
