Role responsibilities

  • Preparing year-end accounts for a range of SMEs, owner-managed businesses and larger companies
  • Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns prepared by junior staff and providing support where needed
  • Assisting with management accounts and business performance reports
  • Liaising directly with clients, handling queries and building strong working relationships
  • Supporting business advisory projects including budgeting, forecasting and cash flow
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and deadlines
  • Mentoring junior team members and contributing to their professional development

Candidate requirements

  • AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA or ACA, or qualified by experience
